Chef Gavin saves the day!

February 10, 2012 by Folly Bloom

Poorly cherubs.

Mother here, "what?"

It’s not very common in this house where a cherub has a day off being poorly so as 3 of the 4 had colds I turned into ‘nurse’ for the day and looked after them all.  I am so grateful to them for scheduling their ‘poorlyness’ on the same day!  So I write this with pockets full of tissues and anti-bac at the ready.

Every household has a day like this and juggling all their requests is epic and slightly like ‘room service’……..

We have done homework, read our reading lists, learnt our spellings and played Ben & Holly!

The fire is roaring and I have created a new table are in the lounge now to craft my blooms from, so not to have to try to sew and shiver at the end of the house where my studio is located.  This table is my feel good moment to Folly Bloom.

As I am just about on my knees Mr Folly Bloom comes home from work, phew…….. He knows I’ve eaten quickly and washed and cared for our cherubs and a glass of red is poured and a quick adult snack is made, so roll on pizza and seasonal salad.  These little end of the day treats really mean a lot to a day of wiping ‘slug’ noses!

Yum yum & thank you Mr Folly Bloom. x

Quick pizza and seasonal salad.

Evening hot snacks!
