Well Jubilee overdose has taken over the UK and bunting is flying, rain has fallen and the spirit of ‘make do’ has kicked in.
Whether you flying your flags or not in agreement with such an extravagant affair I feel it has been good to see communities, streets, neighbours come together and actually use their time to organise lots of celebrations for families and kids. This has to be a good thing.
But don’t tell the Queen I have cut up my flag to make a gift bag for my overseas customer! x
The news stream has been full of soggy images of the Thames and the huge gig at Buckingham Palace. I did love seeing all the Sea Cadets involved in the Pageant and my Dad is gutted they missed being there due to their travels. Sea Cadets from across the UK led The Queen’s Jubilee barge, Gloriana, down the Thames. The huge pageant is the biggest event seen on the river since 1717. My Dad has been involved with the Sea Cadets since he was a small boy and has achieved loads over the years and given lots of service so very proud to see them little boats going up the Thames.
Love & bunting.
