Hello new Monday! Manchester has had a flurry of snow/slush so its perfect cosy weather for a busy making day.
As its New Year lots of peeps seem to have started the Spring clean thing?! It has felt very much like this here and I think it’s a classic case of the Christmas tree is down and everywhere looks bare. So after a good hoover and polish it’s right back into all things pretty and handmade.
Folly Bloom’s studio desk has had a post clearing of Christmas too and all helicopters that landed have flown off into Master Folly’s bedroom.
Lot’s of recycling has been done and reusing of Christmas packaging has been used up too. I have a real problem with the amount of empty plastic milk cartons we produce and am on a mission to reuse these. Ideas coming soon…
Folly Bloom button stock has been put into some kind of OCD order and new button cards are well under way.
Good quality cardboard is an underestimated find, I love the buff colour it ranges in and it’s textures make it interesting and a pleasure to use. But I can also get quite giddy about textured concrete!
A raid on my pretty paper stock and an afternoon of cutting and sticking and Folly Bloom’s button cards are well on their way, complete with thoughtful packaging.
Would love to hear your best uses for those items many peeps throw away or milk carton makes?!
Love and buttons,
